Dominique Morel, Beaujolais Blanc 2019

This family-run winery based just north of Fleurie dates back to the early 1900s and has been run by current Winemaker Dominique Morel since 1967. To sum up his philosophy, Morel says: “I make wines that I like to drink, with lots of fruit, good colour and a rounded mouth-feel”.

All work in the vineyard, including harvesting, is done by hand. The vines are an average of 15 years old. The wine underwent malolactic fermentation; it then spent four to five months on fine lees, to add complexity and texture.

This Beaujolais blanc displays vibrant citrus and white stone fruit aromas, with hints of blossom. The palate is fresh and rounded balanced by crisp acidity that lingers on the elegant finish.
