Domaine Joël Delaunay is situated on the bank of the Cher Valley, 50 kilometres east of Tours near the famous Château de Chenonceau. It’s run by fifth generation owner Thierry Delaunay, who practices sustainable viticulture. The ripe Sauvignon Blanc grapes underwent a 15 day maceration on their skins in stainless steel tanks, in order to extract aromas and soft tannins and was then fermented on its skins without temperature control.

Deep orange-hued in colour, this wine reveals bold aromas of dried mandarin zest, honey and almonds. The palate is clean and fragrant with orange peel and honeysuckle notes coming to the fore. Exceptionally food friendly and will pair with foods that can often be tricky e.g.  bitter vegetables like asparagus, artichokes, and kale, pickled foods, vinaigrette dressings, spicy foods but can hold up to heavier foods as well.
