Made by high-profile and renowned Spanish winemaker Alvaro Palacios, La Vendimia (translation – ‘the harvest’), is a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha. The winery is family owned and based in in Rioja Oriental, the warmest and most easterly part of the Rioja appellation. It’s semi-arid Mediterranean climate is well-suited to growing Garnacha, a variety that Alvaro has championed, particularly from old bush vines. A young wine, fresh and juicy and aged for less than 6 months in barrel.
